WIAA spring tournaments get underway this week

Tournament time in Wisconsin high school sports begins this week.
Here is a rundown on the tournament dates and brackets for each sport.

Baseball
Seeding for the Division 1 sectional was scheduled to be completed on Sunday. Teams in the Division 1 sectional are Chippewa Falls, Eau Claire Memorial, Eau Claire North, Hudson, Marshfield, Menomonie, Merrill, New Richmond, River Falls, Stevens Point, Superior and Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln.
The opening round of regional play begins on Tuesday, May 31.
Prescott and Somerset drew opening round byes in the local Division 2 regional tournament. Ellsworth will host Baldwin-Woodville in one D2 regional opener this Friday, with Osceola visiting St. Croix Central in the other D2 opener on Friday.
In Division 3, Elk Mound and Boyceville received the opening byes. Glenwood City plays at Eau Claire Regis in a D3 opener on Friday. The other D3 opener features Spring Valley at Colfax on Friday.

Boys Golf
Hudson will host the Division 1 regional meet on Tuesday, May 24, starting at 10:30 a.m. Teams competing in the regional are Chippewa Falls, Eau Claire Memorial, Eau Claire North, Hudson, Menomonie, New Richmond, River Falls and Superior.
Somerset and St. Croix Central play in Division 2 in golf. They will play in the Osceola Division 2 regional on Tuesday, May 24, teeing off at 9 a.m. They are joined in the tournament by Amery, Baldwin-Woodville, Durand, Ellsworth, Mondovi, Osceola, Prescott, St. Croix Falls and Unity.
The Division 3 golf regional will be played on Tuesday in Frederic. Teams competing in that meet include Clear Lake, Colfax, Frederic, Glenwood City, Grantsburg, Luck, Siren, Spring Valley, Turtle Lake-Clayton and Webster.

Girls Soccer
Teams competing in the Division 1 soccer regional include Chippewa Falls, Eau Claire Memorial, Eau Claire North, Hudson, Menomonie, New Richmond, River Falls and Superior. The first round of tournament play will be held on Thursday, June 2.
The first round of Division 2 regionals will be played on Thursday, June 2. Teams in the region are Amery, Ashland, Baldwin-Woodville, Hayward, Osceola, Somerset and Rice Lake.

Softball
The Division 1 regional bracket is expected to be released early this week. Teams in the region include Chippewa Falls, Eau Claire North, Eau Claire Memorial, Hudson, Menomonie, River Falls and Superior.
In the local Division 2 region, Baldwin-Woodville received a bye. The first round of games will be played on Thursday. Those games include Amery at Ellsworth, New Richmond at Osceola and Somerset at Durand.
St. Croix Central and Prescott received byes in the local Division 3 regional. In Thursday’s games in the opening round, Spring Valley-Plum City will play at Colfax and Glenwood City will play at Boyceville.

Boys Tennis
New Richmond will host the WIAA Division 1 subsectional tournament on Monday, May 23, starting at 10 a.m. Teams joining the Tigers in the subsectional are Eau Claire Memorial, Eau Claire North, Hudson, Menomonie, Osceola-Somerset, River Falls and Superior.

Track
The River Falls Division 1 regional track meet will be held on Monday. The meet starts at 3:30 p.m. Teams competing in the meet are Chippewa Falls, Eau Claire Memorial, Eau Claire North, Hudson, Menomonie, New Richmond, River Falls and Superior. Qualifiers from this meet advance to the Wausau East Division 1 sectional on Thursday, May 26.
Somerset will host the Division 2 regional meet. It starts at 3:45 p.m. on Monday, May 23. Other teams competing in the meet include St. Croix Central, Amery, Baldwin-Woodville, Ellsworth, Osceola, Prescott, St. Croix Falls and Unity. Qualifiers from this meet advance to the Colby Division 2 sectional meet on Thursday, May 26.
